CLIMATE POLICY INITIATIVE

The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance is a program run by the Climate Policy Initiative. It identifies, develops, and launches innovative finance instruments that drive investment in climate action and sustainable development. Since 2014, The Lab has launched over 50 solutions that have mobilized over $3 billion to combat climate change. For the past few years, Room 3 has produced explainer videos describing the structures and impacts of each of the financial solutions endorsed by The Lab. 

The Reservoir Methane Capture Mechanism is one of seven solutions making up The Lab’s Class of 2022. The instrument uses blended financing to unlock investments into emerging methane-capture technology. It captures methane from hydropower reservoirs to generate revenue and produce cleaner energy.

The Room 3 team produced the 25th anniversary video for Pegasus Capital Advisors, highlighting Founder & CEO Craig Cogut’s commitment to sustainability and Pegasus’ longstanding partnership with the Green Climate Fund.

THE SUBNATIONAL CLIMATE FINANCE INITIATIVE

We collaborated with a variety of climate-focused organizations, including Gold Standard, IUCN, R20, and more, on an intro video for the Subnational Climate Finance Initiative (or SCF). SCF is a blended finance model that seeks to invest in climate-resilient, low-carbon infrastructure and regenerative agriculture, while also promoting nature-based solutions in countries most vulnerable to the consequences of climate change.
